Chatsifieds.com is built to help learners practise English with confidence. The community should feel safe, respectful, useful and welcoming for ESL learners, international students, newcomers, parents, teachers and local business partners.
2. Be respectful
Do not post or submit content that is abusive, hateful, discriminatory, threatening, sexually explicit, exploitative, humiliating or designed to embarrass learners.
3. Support learners
Phrase Wall and learning features are for practical education. Corrections, examples and comments should be helpful and plain-English. Do not mock accents, grammar mistakes, cultural background or language ability.
4. Phrase submissions
If you submit a phrase, example, reply, mission or explanation, it should be suitable for a general learning audience and should not include private information, offensive language, misleading claims or content copied from another source without permission.
5. Business partner behaviour
Businesses using sponsor cards, student offers or Phrase Wall placements must treat learners fairly and respectfully. Student offers should be clear, current and easy to understand. Businesses must not pressure learners, make false claims or use confusing conditions.
6. Student offers and discounts
If a business provides a student-friendly offer, the conditions should be clear. This includes eligibility, expiry dates, location limits, booking requirements, redemption method, exclusions and any minimum spend.
7. No unsafe or inappropriate promotion
We may refuse or remove content or sponsorships involving inappropriate, unsafe, adult, exploitative, unlawful, high-risk or learner-unsuitable products or services.
8. Moderation
We may edit, reject, hide or remove content or sponsor material if we believe it does not meet these guidelines, is not suitable for learners, or creates legal, safety, quality or trust concerns.
