These Terms of Use apply when you visit or use Chatsifieds.com, including English-learning articles, Australian culture guides, quizzes, certificate features, Phrase Wall pages, partner enquiry pages, sponsored phrase cards, business pricing pages and related website features.
Chatsifieds.com is operated by CHATSIFIEDS.COM PTY LIMITED. In these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Chatsifieds.com and its operator.
2. Acceptance of these Terms
By using the website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the website.
3. Educational purpose
Chatsifieds.com provides English-learning, cultural-learning and general information resources. We use everyday examples such as cafes, study, travel, work, shopping and community life to help learners understand practical Australian English.
We do not guarantee that any lesson, phrase, quiz, certificate, practice activity or resource will meet a migration, visa, employment, university, school, testing, professional or government requirement.
4. Phrase Wall features
Phrase Wall is a learning feature that helps users understand practical phrases, meanings, examples, possible replies and real-life practice missions. Phrase pages may be organised by category, such as Cafe English, Australian Slang, Student Life, Workplace English or Shopping English.
Phrase Wall content may include learner-facing education, business sponsor cards, student offers, referral links, partner profiles, discount codes or calls to action. Sponsored content will be presented as partner or sponsor content where appropriate.
5. Business sponsorships and pricing
Businesses may apply to sponsor a phrase, sponsor a category, be shown on a partner card, or promote a student-friendly offer. Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, our standard package examples are:
- Starter Phrase — $49 per month.
- Phrase Partner — $99 per month.
- Category Sponsor — $299 per month.
- Founding Partner — $999 for 6 months.
- Optional setup fee — from $199 one-off, where agreed before work starts.
Prices may change for new purchases. Existing paid arrangements continue for the period and price confirmed in writing, unless changed by agreement or allowed by these Terms.
6. Sponsor responsibilities
Business partners are responsible for ensuring that all sponsor names, logos, descriptions, prices, discount codes, “student offer” claims, availability statements, booking links, product information and promotions they provide are accurate, current, lawful and not misleading.
Partners must tell us promptly if an offer ends, prices change, stock or availability changes, a link breaks, a business closes, or a claim is no longer accurate. We may remove or edit sponsored content if we believe it may be inaccurate, unsuitable, unlawful, confusing or inconsistent with the learning purpose of Chatsifieds.com.
7. No guaranteed results for businesses
Unless expressly agreed in writing, sponsorship does not guarantee sales, visits, enquiries, rankings, clicks, traffic, conversions, social engagement, search engine results or student redemptions. We provide placement and content exposure only.
8. Accounts, quizzes and certificates
Some features may allow you to complete quizzes, enter a name for a certificate, save phrases or submit content. You must provide accurate information and must not impersonate another person.
Any certificate generated by the website is a learning participation certificate only. It is not an accredited qualification, formal English test result or government-recognised credential unless we clearly state otherwise in writing.
9. User content and Phrase Wall submissions
If you submit phrases, comments, images, questions, feedback, business details, offers or other content, you must ensure it is lawful, respectful, non-confidential and suitable for a general learning audience.
You give us permission to use, reproduce, edit, moderate, publish and display your submitted content for the purpose of operating, improving and promoting Chatsifieds.com. You retain any rights you already own, but you are responsible for having the right to submit the content.
10. Third-party links, offers and services
The website may link to third-party websites, cafes, education providers, advertisers, embedded tools, analytics services, payment services or social platforms. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, availability, price, quality, safety or accuracy of third-party websites or offers.
11. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded. If we supply paid services, digital products or sponsorship services, your rights may include consumer guarantees that cannot be taken away by our terms.
12. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the website design, lessons, quizzes, text, images, branding, graphics, Phrase Wall structure and other materials are owned by or licensed to us. You may view and share links to our public pages. You must not copy, republish, scrape, sell or commercially reuse our materials without permission, except as allowed by law.
13. Prohibited conduct
You must not misuse the website, interfere with security, upload harmful code, scrape content at scale, use the site to harass others, submit unlawful content, make misleading sponsor claims, or attempt to access systems or data without permission.
14. Availability and changes
We may update, remove or change any content, quiz, certificate, Phrase Wall feature, partner feature, sponsor placement, price or page at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted website access.
15. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of or reliance on the website, except where liability cannot be excluded under Australian law.
16. Governing law
