1. Chatsifieds content
Unless otherwise stated, Chatsifieds owns or licenses its original website design, lesson text, quizzes, graphics, photographs/illustrations, branded assets, original phrase explanations, page layouts and other protected material.
2. Ordinary language and “Own a Phrase”
Common words, expressions and everyday phrases are not transferred to a sponsor by the “Own a Phrase” program. The program sells a defined sponsored placement/association on Chatsifieds, not legal ownership of ordinary language. Any exclusivity applies only if expressly agreed for a Chatsifieds placement and period.
3. Personal and educational use
You may read public pages, share links and use reasonable extracts for personal learning or ordinary teaching/support activities consistent with law. Teachers and community groups may link learners to Chatsifieds pages.
4. Statutory rights and fair dealing
Nothing in this policy is intended to remove fair dealing, quotation, criticism/review, research/study or other permissions and exceptions available under applicable copyright law.
5. Bulk commercial reuse
Unless permitted by law or written permission, do not systematically scrape, reproduce, repackage, resell, mirror or create a competing commercial dataset/service from substantial Chatsifieds protected content. This includes bulk extraction for a competing commercial model or content product where the use would otherwise infringe our rights.
6. User and partner submissions
If you submit material for publication, you confirm you have authority to do so. You retain rights you own. You grant Chatsifieds a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, format, edit for moderation/presentation, publish, display and promote the material to the extent reasonably needed for the submitted purpose or agreed partner placement.
7. Partner logos and brand assets
A partner retains ownership of its logo and brand assets. By supplying them for a partner placement, the partner grants Chatsifieds permission to display them for the agreed service, related previews/reporting and reasonable promotion of that partnership.
8. Copyright complaints
If you believe material on Chatsifieds infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with the page URL, identification of the material, an explanation of your rights and contact information. We may temporarily restrict material while reviewing a credible complaint.
9. Search engines and AI-generated summaries
Public pages may be indexed or summarised by search engines, AI systems and social platforms according to their own services and applicable law. Chatsifieds does not control third-party snippets or summaries.
