1. Different technologies do different jobs
Your browser can remember information in several ways. Chatsifieds uses some of these features to save learning progress, remember choices and make selected pages available offline. Outside services may also use cookies or similar technologies.
2. My Learning local storage
My Learning saves completed lessons, saved Phrase Wall items and practice progress on your device. Answers you type into current practice activities are not kept as part of this progress. This does not create a Chatsifieds learner account.
You can clear this learning state from My Learning or through your browser's site-data controls.
3. Optional anonymous learning information
Chatsifieds may use a small amount of browser storage to remember whether you have turned optional anonymous learning information off and to avoid counting the same action repeatedly during one visit. It does not use a Chatsifieds account ID or long-term analytics visitor ID. The exact words you type into Search English are not sent for this feature.
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track turn off this Chatsifieds anonymous learning information. They do not automatically change separate advertising-provider settings.
4. Offline learning copies
Your browser may save selected site files and previously visited learning pages so they can still work during a temporary loss of connection. You can remove these offline copies through your browser’s site-data controls.
5. Third-party advertising
Some Chatsifieds pages currently load Google advertising technology. Depending on Google's configuration, user choices and applicable law, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, local storage or other identifiers to deliver, limit, secure and measure advertising. Third-party advertising technology is controlled by the provider's own systems and policies, not by the Chatsifieds My Learning opt-out.
6. External fonts, libraries and embedded resources
Some pages may request fonts, JavaScript libraries or other resources from external providers. Like most web services, those providers may receive basic information such as your IP address, browser information, the file requested and the time of the request. Where a page embeds an external service, that provider may apply its own privacy/cookie rules.
7. Sponsor and partner measurement
Chatsifieds may use anonymous or grouped counts to understand whether a sponsored learning placement is being viewed or used. Unless clearly disclosed otherwise, Chatsifieds does not provide a sponsor with a named learner profile or the raw wording a learner typed into Search English.
8. Your controls
- Use My Learning to clear local learning state or turn optional Chatsifieds learning information off.
- Use browser controls to block or delete cookies/local storage and clear saved site data.
- Use advertising-provider controls where offered to manage personalised advertising settings.
- Be aware that blocking storage or third-party scripts can affect saved progress, embedded content or advertising.
